Raspberry Ketones (not to be confused with raspberry leaf), has been heavily promoted as a weight-loss supplement by several supplement companies. Currently we feel that there is insufficient evidence for raspberry ketones for us to include it in our range. To date the only studies have involved animals with no clinical studies undertaken on humans.
Another consideration is that this supplement is not as natural as it might appear from all the pictures of raspberries used on the packaging. This is because the level of ketones found in raspberries is absolutely tiny (about 1mg per kilo), compared to the level being sold as a food supplements which is typically 200-400mg. So you would need to extract the ketones from at least 200kg of raspberries just to make one tablet. This is why raspberry ketones are synthesized industrially and are principally manufactured for use as raspberry flavorings rather than for use in supplements.
Thankfully there are some excellent alternative supplements within our range, the most popular of which are shown below.
