At Nature's Best, we try very hard to be as green as possible in every area of our business. I am pleased to confirm that all of our pots and most of our packaging is recyclable, and you will find the HDPE triangular mark on the bottom of the pots. Most councils will accept these for collection in the kerbside recycling scheme. We do appreciate your concerns regarding plastic use, however there are some very important reasons why we continue to use recyclable HDPE pots. Glass is much heavier than plastic and therefore uses much more fuel to transport. Glass is also breakable and so would require the use of more protective packaging, which is often non-recyclable. Unfortunately, offering a refill service is not currently viable, as each product sent out needs to be clearly labelled in durable packaging with a Batch Number and Best Before Date for quality purposes. The packaging used for any refills would also limit the shelf life of the product.

In addition, to minimise the cost to the business and therefore to our customers, we have a small range of standard size pots and product is packed into the most appropriate size pack. Expanding the range of pot sizes that we use would increase the cost of packaging and therefore the end price of the products. In some instances, products that fit into a small pot need to be packaged into the next size up. This is because there needs to be just a little more room in the pot to prevent bounce back during the filling process.
