I wanted to have a better option, because I have a***ma, and most of the compounds have sulfur compounds that might be triggering. In addition, the regular source of this compound is from sharks, and as a vegetarian and a conservationist, I didn''t like that. Therefore, I went looking for an alternative and this is the best one.

We have done extensive research and the Phytodroitin has a very similar structure to the Chondroitin. Therefore, we would expect it to work in the same way in the body. This is my 1st encounter with the plant based version. Now taken it for about a month and its about 70% effective compared to the old version. Fingers are starting to be painful again, which in combination with the liquid glucosamine, has worked very well! Why can''t you keep the old version and us customers have a choice?

I''ve been using Chondroitin with excellent effect for several years to reduce pain in my arthritic finger joints. I actually ordered Chondroitin BUT was sent PHYTODROITIN instead. I read the bumph that said it was equivalent but now 3 weeks into taking this as a replacement I''m back in pain! Plus it has an unpleasant taste/aftertaste unlike the previous Natures Best Chondroitin which I''ve used previously and successfully.

We have moved to a vegan glucosamine and to Phytodroitin as an alternative to animal sourced chondroitin. This makes the range suitable for vegetarians and vegans but also means that the products are a lot more environmentally sound as the production of these ingredients uses far less water and other resources.
The manufacturers have done is a great deal of research showing how chemically close Phytodroitin is to animal-based chondroitin. They believe that this demonstrates that it exerts the same effects. Phytodroitin has been in mass market for several years, with many other countries using it for some time. First and long-term users are not finding any detriment to moving over.
