Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), is becoming a popular supplement and has been used in numerous human research studies. CLA is a type of fatty acid that is naturally present in our diet when we eat beef and full fat dairy produce. However, the decline in beef consumption and the trend towards low fat dairy foods, means that the average diet now contains around 200mg. Some researchers believe that an intake of 3000mg (3g) might be a better target.
