Vitamin D3 1000iu
- High potency, one-a-day formula, the level often recommended by healthcare practitioners
- Made to exacting Pharmaceutical grade GMP standards
- Fantastic value at less than 5p a day
- During the winter and when sunlight exposure is low
This is now our top selling Vitamin D and we recommend it for anyone who gets little or no exposure to sunshine. These small, easy to swallow capsules provide Vitamin D in the preferred form of ‘D3’ dissolved in sunflower seed oil to aid absorption.
Our bodies obtain Vitamin D from two sources, our diet and from the action of sunlight on our skin which drives the natural production within the body. If we all had plenty of sun then we would have an abundance of Vitamin D, but in reality we do need to obtain some from our diet, particularly during the winter months and notably in the elderly as the body’s ability to manufacture Vitamin D declines with age. This is why the Government has identified five groups of people at risk of deficiency and recommends that they take a Vitamin D supplement.
The Government has made this recommendation because there is growing evidence that Vitamin D deficiencies are linked to a number of major health concerns that have been widely written about in the press. he recommendation from the Government for the at risk groups is to take a supplement of 400iu (10mcg) per day which is why we put this amount in most of our Multis. However our view is that this 1000iu product is a better choice, costs just 5p/day and is safe for long term use.
This product offers an unbeatable combination of all the most important minerals including relevant amounts of the two mega minerals, calcium and magnesium, that are so often included in suplements at just token levels. In fact all of the minerals are present at relevant levels and this product can be taken with our high potency formula |Megavit//P602| to create a high potency supplement regime.

At Nature's Best, we try very hard to be as green as possible in every area of our business, therefore the boxes we use are made from recycled cardboard and are themselves recyclable. We have also recently changed from using plastic air bags to paper to cushion goods in the parcels and this can be recycled as well.
