- Lactase is a digestive enzyme required to break down milk sugar lactose, which is found in milk and dairy products. Lactose intolerance occurs when the body cannot digest lactose properly due to a lack of lactase. As a result, the lactose in the colon ferments, causing unpleasant digestive symptoms. Many people choose to take lactase tablets before eating a dairy-heavy meal to support digestion.
Our Lactase 9000 is a high strength product equivalent to 9000FCC units of enzyme activity in each tablet. Just one tablet would digest up to 45g of lactose, which is equivalent to a 240ml glass of whole cow’s milk, which would provide about 9-12g of lactose.

New to these tablets after years of using other make. Quickly devleoped repeated abdominal distension, painful cramps & unpleasant flatulence. There is something 'inappropriate' in the caking agent / bulking agent.

It is difficult for us to make tablets and capsules without the use of excipients or inactive ingredients. We never use an ingredient simply to bulk up a product: all our excipients have a very important role to play and allow us to make supplements which will maintain their integrity in the pots, will break down rapidly once in the body and will contain accurate levels of the active compounds stated on the label. They are all considered to be inert and safe for human consumption at levels much higher than our products will provide.
