This is our most advanced eye health formula, in which we’ve combined the nutritive qualities of lutein and zeaxanthin. With a highly concentrated level of advanced omega 3 fish oil – all of this in one convenient, easy to swallow capsule!
Each capsule contains 20mg of pure, free base lutein, a powerful carotenoid derived from marigolds (the most purified and natural source available). Interestingly, lutein is found in high concentrations in the macula of the eye, the part of the retina responsible for vision. In the retina, lutein and zeaxanthin’s job includes the absorption and filtering of blue light and has powerful antioxidants.
It is estimated that in the UK, the average daily diet provides as little as 1-2mg lutein when the latest research suggests that we need at least 10mg of lutein daily to maintain healthy eyes as we age.
Eyewise® Advance is more than just lutein. Each capsule provides the perfect ratio of two beneficial fatty acids DHA 250mg* and EPA 56mg. Omega 3s and EPA especially, have been shown to contribute to the maintenance of normal vision*. Reassuringly, we only use omega 3s from fish that are responsibly sourced – and don’t worry, there’s no fishy after-taste.
There is growing evidence for the beneficial effects from dietary vitamin D including its contribution to the normal function of the immune system and healthy inflammatory response. Eyewise® Advance contains a useful level (100% NRV) of vitamin D in the highly bioavailable D3 form, which is the preferred form.
Did you know?
Lutein comes from the Latin word ‘luteus’, which means ‘yellow’.
* A beneficial effect is obtained from a daily intake of 250mg DHA
Also my brother suffers from Glaucoma he tried them and found a big improvement in that the bright setting on his tv was to high since taking the Eyewise advance.
This product provides an excellent level of the plant carotenoid, lutein and studies suggest that those who have a higher intake of lutein rich foods, have a higher level of this protective pigment in the macula of the eye. This is then linked to a lower risk of developing age related macular degeneration.
I am not aware of this being of specific benefit to those suffering with glaucoma. However, this does contain omega 3s which are thought to be useful for many areas of health, including supporting normal vision and nerve function.
