Canesten Internal Cream 10% - 5g

Canesten Internal Cream 10% is a single application, full course treatment for vaginal thrush. Three out of four women will suffer from thrush at some point in their lives. Thrush is an infection caused by the yeast Candida, which usually happily lives in the body without causing any harm. Candida can multiply however and cause problems when the natural pH balance of the vagina is upset. Common symptoms of vaginal thrush include itching, soreness & redness around the outside of the vagina, and in some cases a creamy white, odourless vaginal discharge can occur.

Canesten Internal Cream 10% is a soothing intravaginal cream in a prefilled applicator for treatment at the site of infection. It contains the active ingredient clotrimazole, which belongs to a group of medicines called azoles. This antifungal agent works by killing the yeast fungus that causes a vaginal thrush infection.

Wash your hands before and after use. Insert the contents of the pre-filled applicator into the vagina preferably at night so that it can work whilst you sleep.

Suitable For female teenagers and adults, between the ages of 16 - 60 years.

Keep out of the reach and sight of young children. Not suitable for those under the age of 16 years (unless on the advice of a medical practitioner). Do not use if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients of clotrimazole. Do not use if you are taking the antihistamine, terfenadine. Pregnant & breastfeeding women should seek medical consultation before use.
