Dulcolax 5mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets 100 Tablets

Dulcolax 5mg Gastro-resistant tablets have been especially formulated for the gentle and effective relief of constipation. Each special coated tablet contains the active ingredient, bisacodyl, a stimulant laxative that acts directly on bowel muscles to cause a bowel movement. Dulcolax works only where it is needed, to bring predictable, overnight relief from constipation. This helps the body to return to its natural rhythm.

Dulcolax 5mg Gastro-resistant tablets may also be used in hospitals by medical practitioners to empty a patient's bowels before surgery, child birth or radiological investigations.

Adults and children over 10 years Take one or two tablets (5 to 10 mg) daily before bedtime. If you have not taken DULCOLAX Tablets before, start with one tablet and increase to two if necessary When your bowel regularity has returned to normalthe dose can usually be stopped Children aged between 4 and 10 years: Dulcolax Tablets should only be given to children between these ages if recomended by a doctor. The usual dose for children is one tablet (5 mg) daily before bedtime Not recommended for children under 4 years

Each tablet contains 5 mg of bisacodyl as the active ingredient. The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, sucrose (approximately 21 mg per tablet), glycerol, magnesium stearate, talc (E553b), acacia (powdered), white beeswax (E901), shellac (E904), carnauba wax (E903), titanium dioxide (E171), yellow iron oxide (E172), methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer, castor oil and macrogol 6000

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not take Dulcolax Adult Tablets after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Do not store above 25°C. If laxatives are needed for more than five days in a row, or if symptoms persist, in particular if you have persistent abdominal pain or are passing blood, consult your doctor. Do not take if you have an intestinal obstruction, an inflammatory gastrointestinal disorder, or severe dehydration, or if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breast-feeding.
