    I thought that fermented foods kept unopened a cool pantry would keep indefinitely. My jar had a best before date, just a few months after purchase. Would it still be good to eat after this date if kept unopened as above?

    I live in U.S.A and I don’t trust the quality of our foods or supplements. That’s why I buy my important supplements from Natures Best. For the first time I bout Biona organic sauerkraut. Is this product really that high in sodium. ???

    The Biona Sauerkraut contains 1.66g salt per 100g of sauerkraut. Salt is required for the processing of the product, particularly the fermentation process. It is perfectly suitable to consume this product as part of a healthy balanced diet.

    To help aid an infection and promote healthy gut bacteria... though unfortunately is doing nothing as its been pasteurised... a big Big shame for biona, regret purchasing... and taste is soggy... homemade is best and has a crunch

    Can you check if this product has been cooked or pasteurised I am buying it for the natural live cultures.

    I like it but I am eating it for all the good bacteria... please confirm, as people should be aware

I can confirm that the Biona Organic Sauerkraut is pasteurised to kill any harmful bacteria, however, the product is fermented and still contains beneficial bacteria. These products have been produced through controlled microbial growth also known as fermentation to boost gut-loving bacteria.
