Product Information
The Omega 3 DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function/normal vision and each Vegan Omega capsule provides the recommended intake of 250mg.
Our best vegan Omega 3 supplement UK is derived from tiny plant organisms known as microalgae, which is where fish obtain their Omega 3s. Delivering 250mg DHA in each capsule, this natural Omega 3 source effectively cuts out the middle-man (or fish!), making it the perfect choice for those on plant-based diets.
The algae used in our vegan Omega 3 is cultivated in a controlled environment, ensuring an integrated and sustainable supply (independent of marine biomass), which is also naturally free from contaminants. Over 100 studies have used this plant source of DHA, demonstrating both its safety and efficacy.
We suspend our vegan Omega 3 formula in pure sunflower oil, together with the antioxidant’s rosemary extract and tocopherols, to help preserve the natural properties of our algae oil. For that reason, we’ve chosen to encapsulate our formula in small, easy-to-swallow soft-gel capsules, not tablets, which are better equipped to accommodate oil-based materials.
To meet our rigorous quality standards, our high-strength algae oil is made in UK factories working to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Our best vegan Omega 3 supplement UK is suitable for vegans, vegetarians, as well as those allergic to fish.

So, being Vegan I was glad to find algae sourced DHA! But, now I have to buy a second supplement to get my EPA and keep a balance of both too? Hmm...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
The algae oil that we use for our Veg Omega 3 is naturally rich in DHA, but not EPA. EPA will be present at a level of around 5% of the total oil content, however this would not be considered a nutritionally significant level. Unfortunately, EPA-rich vegan sources of omega-3s are quite difficult to source, very expensive and can be unstable so we are not planning to introduce another product in the near future.
We have chosen to focus on DHA as this is more difficult to for vegans to obtain. Food sources such as nuts and seeds contain ALA which can convert into EPA in the body. However, the conversion to DHA is negligible.
