Interestingly, the adult body contains approximately 20 grams of silica although levels decline with age and since our bodies can’t make silica, obtaining sufficient quantities from dietary sources is important for many people.
One of the richest natural sources of silica is bamboo extract, containing over 70% silica. Naturally this is the form that Nature’s Best insists on. However be aware that many companies offering cheap silica supplements will be using silica obtained from horsetail extract, where the silica element is as low as 5-7%.
