Out of desperation I seached for a natural solution, and started taking Flourishe at 5g a day for 3 days, then 10g daily for a week, then 15g. I found the 15g caused a bit too much gas of an evening and so the happy medium seems to be 12g a day for me. Gas isn't an issue now. I split this 12g into 2 doses, morning and afternoon. It easily dissolves in hot drinks, though I can detect it's flavour in tea so I prefer to put it in coffee and I've also discovered it will also dissolve into cold water if I sprinkle it gently onto the surface and stir well for 20 seconds (great in squash, completely undetectable!)
The results? It took 12 -14 days to get back to feeling 'normal' and that feeling has now continued for 2 whole wks. My new best friend!
I did produce some excessive wind for the first couple of weeks, but this soon settled down. I now take 1 teaspoon on a morning with my smoothie, or hot water, followed by another teaspoon before going to bed.
This has helped relieve my symptoms immensely . It does cause gas when you first start using it so I recommend taking it after work to start with :) your body soon gets used to it and gas lessens.
