Termed an essential amino acid, lysine is one of the eight amino acids our bodies cannot make, making us completely reliant on dietary sources. Since this amino acid is mostly found in animal-based foods, supplementing with it is often recommended for those on vegetarian and vegan diets, where levels tend to be low.

Our high-performance formula delivers an impressive 1,000mg of lysine per vegan tablet. We use a grade of lysine called USP for its quality and purity, which makes it suitable for clinical nutrition products. Very cheap lysine products may be based on the lower class, less purified animal feed grade.

Since tablets can accommodate highly concentrated amounts of premium quality amino acids, we’ve chosen to formulate L-Lysine 1000mg using this material instead of capsules.
