Product Information
Cetirizine hydrochloride is the active ingredient of Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg tablets.
Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg tablets are an anti allergy medication.
In adults and children aged 6 years and above, Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg tablets are used for the relief of symptoms of seasonal (hayfever) and year round allergies (e.g. sneezing, running or itchy nose, watery eyes) and for the relief of chronic nettle rash.
Usage
Adults, elderly patients and children 12 years and over: 1 tablet daily
Children aged between 6 to 12 years: ½ tablet (5mg) twice daily
Patients with moderate kidney problems: ½ tablet (5mg) once daily
Ingredients
The active substance is Cetirizine hydrochloride. Each tablet contains 10 mg of Cetirizine hydrochloride.
The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, talc, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 4000 and sodium citrate.

Adults and children aged 6 years and over.
Cautions/Allergies
Do not take Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg tablets: If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Cetirizine Hydrochloride, to any of the other ingredients of Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg tablets, to hydroxyzine or to piperazine derivatives (closely related active substances of other medicines), if you have severe kidney problems, if you have or there is a family history of problems with galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Take special care with Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10 mg tablets: if you have liver and kidney problems, please ask your doctor for advice; if necessary, your doctor may recommend a lower dose, when drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, if you are an epileptic patient or a patient at risk of convulsions (fits), you should ask your doctor for advice, if you have predisposition factors of urinary retention (eg: spinalcord lesion, prostatic
hyperplasia) as cetirizine increases the risk of urinary retention.
