Product Information
Alka-Seltzer XS Effervescent Tablets have been formulated for the fast and effective relief of mild to moderate pain including headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, period pains, aches and pains.

Description
Alka-Seltzer XS Effervescent Tablets include a stronger formulation than the original Alka-Seltzer. They dissolve in water to give a sparkling solution and contain five active substances: aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), paracetamol, citric acid, caffeine and sodium hydrogen carbonate. Aspirin belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and are used to relieve pain and inflammation. Paracetamol helps treat mild to moderate pain and is also useful for reducing fever. Both citric acid and sodium hydrogen carbonate form antacids to settle the stomach and relieve the symptoms of heartburn & indigestion. Finally caffeine is included for that extra pick-me-up!

Dissolve in a glass of water prior to oral administration. Adults, the elderly & children aged 16 years and over: put 2 tablets into water. The dose may be repeated every 4 hours, as required, with a maximum of 4 dosages in 24 hours. These dosages should not be continued for more than three days without consulting a physician.
