Lamisil AT 1% Gel - 15g

Lamisil AT 1% Gel includes the active ingredient Terbinafine Hydrochloride, which is an antifungal medicine used to treat infections caused by fungi. This cool, soothing gel can improve the relevant skin condition in a few days, with full skin healing (after the infection has cleared) taking approximately 4 weeks. Even after completion of treatment the active terbinafine ingredient continues to work in the skin to substantially reduce the risk of re-infection.

Clean and dry the area to be treated, and your hands. Open the tube and place a small amount of gel on your finger. Apply just enough cream to put a thin layer of gel on the affected skin and the skin just surrounding it. Rub in gently. Wash your hands. When used between the toes or buttocks, or on the groin, the treated area may be covered with a gauze strip, especially at night If you do use gauze, use a fresh, clean gauze strip each time. For athletes foot: Apply to the affected areas once or twice a day, for one week. For dhobie itch: Apply to the affected areas once or twice a day, for one to two weeks. Do not stop using the gel before the recommended time as this may allow the infection to return or reduce the successful cure rate. Treatment can be helped by keeping the affected areas clean by regular washing, and careful drying without rubbing. Scratching the area, although it may be itchy, could cause further damage and slow the healing process or spread the infection.

The active ingredient is terbinafine, 1% w/w. The other ingredients are water, ethanol, isopropyl myristate, polysorbate 20, carbomer, sorbitan laurate, benzyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide and butylated hydroxytoluene (see also Section 2 ‘Important information about some of the ingredients of Lamisil AT 1% Gel’).

Suitable For adults and children over the age of 16 years.

For external use only. Keep Lamisil Gel away from your eyes. Do not use if you have had an allergic reaction to Terbinafine or any of the ingredients in the gel. If you are pregnant, seek medical consultation before using Lamisil Gel. Not suitable for use for breast-feeding mothers. Not suitable for the treatment of vaginal yeast infections. If you have not noticed any signs of improvement within weeks of starting treatment, please seek medical consultation. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
