Ovex Suspension Banana Flavoured Family Pack provides 6 x 5ml treatments of 100mg mebendazole for the treatment of threadworms.

Description
A single dose of this medicine will kill threadworms. However, it may not destroy their eggs, which can cause re-infection and also infect other people. It is therefore strongly recommended that all members of the family (except pregnant and breast feeding women and children under two) are treated at the same time and that precautions are taken to prevent re-infection.
Usage
For oral administration. The treatment is a single 5ml dose per person. Shake well before use. Adults and children over 2 years: Take one 5ml dose only. The suspension can be dispensed in the measuring cup provided.
Ingredients
Mebendazole 100mg per 5ml.
Suitable For
Suitable for adults and children from 2 years. Not suitable for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
Cautions/Allergies
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use this medicine if you have ever had a bad reaction to any of the ingredients or if you are pregnant or think you are pregnant. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you have an intolerance to some sugars, if you are taking other medicines including Metronidazole (a drug used to treat bacterial and protozoan infections) as a serious skin reaction can rarely occur and Cimetidine (used to treat excess stomach acidity). Ask you doctor for advice before taking this medicine if you are breast-feeding.
