Gaviscon Advance Aniseed Liquid - 300ml

Gaviscon Aniseed Advance Liquid has been specifically formulated for the treatment of gastro-oespophageal reflux. These symptoms include acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion which may occur following meals or during pregnancy, and in those who display symptoms of oesophagitis. This oral suspensionbelongs to a group of medicines called reflux suppressants which form a protective 'raft' on top of the stomach contents to prevent stomach acid from escaping into the oesophagus (food pipe) which causes pain and discomfort. As Gaviscon Advance works physically (rather than by entering the bloodstream) it is suitable for use in pregnancy too.

Shake well before use. Adults and children over 12 years: Take 5 - 10ml (one to two 5ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime. Children under 12 years: Should only be taken on medical advice.

Each 10 ml of oral suspension contains 1000 mg sodium alginate and 200 mg potassium hydrogen carbonate as the active ingredients. The other ingredients are calcium carbonate, carbomer, methyl (E218) and propyl (E216) parahydroxybenzoates, sodium saccharin, sodium hydroxide, aniseed flavour derived from fennel and purified water. This product does not contain sugar or gluten.

Suitable For adults and children over the age of 12 years. Children under 12 years: Should only be taken on medical advice.

Gaviscon Advance Liquid can be taken if you are pregnant or breast feeding. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days, the clinical situation should be reviewed. Do not take if you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
