Pepto-Bismol Tablets - 24

Pepto Bismol Tablets contain the active ingredient, bismuth subsalicylate, which is commonly used to treat occasional upset stomach, heartburn, and nausea. Bismuth subsalicylate is a type of medicine known as an antidiarrheal agent and works in conjunction with the rest of the solution. It provides a soothing, antiseptic coating on the stomach and in the intestines. Bismuth subsalicylate also helps to slow the growth of bacteria that might be causing the diarrhoea, however it should not be used to self-treat diarrhoea if you also have a fever or blood/mucus in the stools.

Adults and children 16 years and over:
2 tablets every 1/2 - 1 hour as needed.
If you have diarrhoea, it is important to prevent or treat dehydration by drinking plenty of fluids or taking oral rehydration products, especially if you are frail or elderly.
Do not take more than 16 tablets in 24 hours.
Use until diarrhoea stops, but no longer than 2 days.
If used for longer than 2 days or at higher doses than recommended there is an increased possibility of side effects.

Active ingredients: Bismuth Subsalicylate. Ingredients: Calcium Carbonate, Mannitol, Povidone, Talc, Magnesium Stearate, Amaranth Aluminium Lake (E123), Saccharin Sodium, Peppermint flavour, Vanilla Cream flavour, Aspartame (E951).

Suitable for adults and children over the age of 16 years.

Not suitable for those under the age of 16 years.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Do not take if you are taking other salicylate products, and/or allergic to aspirin.
