Imodium Instants contain the active ingredient Loperamide and dissolve instantly on the tongue. They are specifically designed to treat the symptoms of diarrhoea in one dose.
Description
Imodium Instant Melts have been specifically formulated to treat two types of diarrhoea; short-term diarrhoea and diarrhoea related to IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Short-term diarrhoea is usually a symptom of a bowel infection or a food allergy. The feeling of anxiety or an over consumption of alcohol can also cause short-term diarrhoea. IBS is a poorly understood, but recognised medical condition which affects the normal functions of the bowel.
Each Imodium Instant Melt tablet contains the active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride, a substance that helps reduce diarrhoea by slowing down an overactive bowel. This allows water and minerals that are usually lost in diarrhoea to be absorbed by the body. The tablet dissolves instantly on your tongue and can provide relief from diarrhoea in less than one hour. It should be noted however that Imodium Instant Melts are for the symptomatic relief of diarrhoea and should not be used as substitute for rehydration therapy.

Usage
Short-term diarrhoea:
Adults and children over 12 years: Take 2 tablets to start treatment. Take 1 tablet after each loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 tablets per day. If your diarrhoea lasts for more than 48 hours, consult your doctor.
IBS diarrhoea, previously diagnosed by a doctor:
Adults aged 18 years and over: Take 2 tablets to start treatment. Take 1 tablet after each loose bowel movement, or as previously advised by a doctor, up to a maximum of 6 tablets per day. You can use this medicine for up to 2 weeks for repeated attacks, but do not take for any one attack lasting longer than 48 hours. If your symptoms change, worsen or are not improved after 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Ingredients
