Why We Don't Sell Black Seed Oil

Why We Don't Sell Black Seed Oil

What is black seed oil?

Black seed oil is extracted from nigella sativa seeds, a plant native to southwest Asia. The oil is claimed to be a healthy alternative to avocado oil and extra virgin oil; however, it can be expensive. The oil contains omega 6 linoleic acid and omega 9 oleic acid and contains a potent bioactive known as thymoquinone.

What is black seed oil commonly used for?

There are number of health supporting claims for black seed oil, although it appears that it is largely taken to manage blood sugar levels and cholesterol and to support normal blood pressure.

Why don’t we sell black seed oil?

At present there have only been small to medium scale trials for black seed oil, mostly conducted in Asia between 1-5 months in duration. There is also no data to support safe use over a long period of time. Based on the limited research available it is too soon to determine if black seed oil has any therapeutic properties in regard to the health claims.
