We’ve carefully designed Multi-Max® 70+ to provide support for immunity, cognition, and cardiovascular function for the over 70s. Formulated without iron – as women and men require less as they get older – and iodine-free, making it a popular choice for those with thyroid issues or on medication.
Immunity
Multi-Max® 70+ provides excellent amounts of vitamin C and selenium to support normal immune function. Vitamin D in the preferred, highly absorbable form of D3, cholecalciferol, is included at 10μg, the level recommended by the Department of Health for those over 65 who might not get as much sunlight.
Cognition and Vision
Multi-Max® 70+ provides 5mg of vitamin B6 for normal mental performance, as well as 12.5mg of zinc, 125% of the NRV (Nutrient Reference Value), to support cognitive function. Multi-Max® 70+ provides impressive levels of zinc and vitamin B2 to support normal vision.
This formula includes 2mg of pure lutein, an important carotenoid found in the macular of the eye where it plays a critical role in protecting the eyes from light-induced damage. Research now suggests diets low in lutein may lead to diminished levels in the macular.
Heart and nervous system
Multi-Max® 70+ supplies high-strength vitamin B1, which supports normal heart and nervous system function, as well as folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 for normal red blood cell formation. These B vitamins further support the regulation of the amino acid, homocysteine. High levels of homocysteine are associated with cardiovascular problems.
