- As we age, hydrochloric acid (HCl) production in the stomach declines, which may lead to digestive issues. HCl helps creates an acidic environment in the stomach for pepsin, an enzyme that breaks down protein, to work. It also supports the bacteria in the gut microbiome.
With 324mg of betaine, a compound that releases HCl, and 5mg of pepsin, an enzyme that breaks down proteins, we’ve specially formulated Betaine HCl to support digestion.
We’ve chosen to encapsulate our high-performance Betaine HCl formula in taste-free, fast-release tablets instead of capsules to ensure they disintegrate in the stomach when needed.
To meet our strict quality standards, we manufacture and package our Betaine HCl in UK factories working to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
