This product does not provide information about the Hypericin content which is the active compound. Previously offered products where approx. 1000 nanogram per tablet - are these similar?

Thank you for your query and for allowing me the opportunity to explain about our new St John's Wort product.
Our previous food supplement form of St Johns Wort product always provided 1000ug of the active compound hypericin however new legislation came into force in April 2011 which required certain herbs to be registered as medicines which require Traditional Herbal Registration (THR's) and to comply with these regulations the description on the new packs has had to change.
The new product is in fact slightly stronger and each tablet now contains 370mg of a dry extract from St Johns Wort (Hypericum perforatum - 1850mg to 2590mg of St John's Wort). However, we are unable to quantify the hypericin level with THR's since they are based on different markers of strength as given above. Our product does however remain one of the strongest on the market and is extremely competitive.
