Wow! We think that this could be the strongest product of its kind available in the UK. Each tablet provides over 700mg of concentrated plant extracts, selected for their high content of compounds called polyphenols. We consume lots of these compounds when we eat a healthy diet full of fruits, berries, pulses and green vegetables and increasingly the polyphenol content of different foods is being seen as one measure of their ‘goodness’.

Polyphenols have been shown to be powerful antioxidants and to be able to compare different foods, a measurement called ‘ORAC’ has been developed, which is a laboratory test to determine how effective any food is at neutralizing free radicals. The relationship between ORAC level of a food and its antioxidant activity in the body varies due to other factors such as the absorption rate. However we use ORAC levels to guide us on the potency of extracts from plant sources that are recognised as being healthy due to their polyphenol content.

ORAC 10,000 provides plant polyphenols in a handy easy-to-take tablet form, at the level that equates to the amount provided by a reasonably good diet, (however, ORAC 10,000 should not be used in place of a good diet, as fruit and vegetables provide many nutrients, not just polyphenols).
