Artificial Sweetner...Why?

I have not used this product due to the use of sucralose. Although deemed 'safe' by the powers that be, I beg to differ. Your response to a previous comment states that it is used in a tiny amount purely for palatability. If this is the case, then why not use xylitol instead as you do in the tasty chews also for children? The dental health would be solved. I'm sure that a lot of people looking to avoid certain ingredients would purchase this product if this was changed. Please take this customer request seriously as I believe many of your customers use your site because of the attention to detail and quality of the ingredients you use. Sadly, for me Fruit bursts are not one of them.

We understand that xylitol is a preferred sweetener and we use it when we can. However we use sucralose in the Fruit Burst product as we would need to use 600 times more xylitol than sucralose to get the same taste which would of course make the capsules huge. Also we found that xylitol interacts with the capsule shell which increases the risk of leakages which meant we had no choice but to use sucralose. We are confident that the amount of sucralose in the product is entirely safe and that we could not create a palatable fish oil capsule for children without using it.

Why do you use this product Omega 3 Chewy Fruit Bursts ? Would you make this product without an artificial sweetener please? That would be really helpful. Adding sucralose makes it no better than the chewys you can buy on the high street and I expect better than that from Natures Best. Please remove it, it is detrimental to childrens health. Thank you.

Reassuringly sucralose has an excellent safety profile with more than 100 scientific studies conducted over a 20-year period demonstrating its safety. Very little is absorbed by the body, most is excreted in the urine.
Wherever possible we avoid using sugar in any form in our products, particularly in chewable supplements, as this can be detrimental to dental health. However in this instance we believe the ingredient (,which is included in tiny amounts), is justified as a sweetening agent to improve not only palatability but also compliance.

I'd like to try this product but surprised that it contains sucralose and we follow a kosher diet therefore some other ingredients are not suitable. A pity as it looks like a good product. Would like to try if the ingredients were changed.

Kids Omegas Chews

Yes they are really VERY chewy but the kids love the taste and the benefits to them far far outweigh a simple bit of chewing. There is a surprise burst of flavour which makes the kids smile and then they give then a chew and they are gone. I think they are very good and I've certainly had no complaints for my two girls. Well done Natures Best for having a fish oil that isn't fishy!

Why do you use this product Omega 3 Chewy Fruit Bursts ? Bought for my children, taste is good but the capsule is hard to chew and unpleasant in your mouth.

We need to ensure that the delicate omega 3 oils contained in each capsule are not damaged by oxygen so sadly, the robust capsules are required to keep the oil in top condition. Soft gel capsules can be more prone to leaking so we made the decision to keep to gelatin capsules on this occasion. The temperature of gelatin capsules will greatly effect the hardness, so we do not suggest you keep the product in a cold place as this can make the capsules hard to chew. If your kids enjoy the flavour of the Fruit Bursts they can always discard the capsule shell after eating the contents, this will not effect the product quality.

Why do you use this product Omega 3 Chewy Fruit Bursts ? I suffer from Osteoarthiritus so take them for joints. I cannot swallow the large capsules and don't like the liquid so these are great for me.
