Evening Primrose Oil is a still one of our most popular products, and this 1000mg version offers fantastic value for money. We use only the purest oil in our capsules with a guaranteed level of 10% GLA. This Omega 6 fatty acid is the active ingredient in evening primrose oil and the amount present determines the quality and price of the oil. There is a big variation between oils and ours is carefully selected and then tested to ensure it contains at least 10% GLA. Our tests indicate that not all the products available meet the level of GLA declared on the label.

The oil from borage seeds, generally called starflower oil, is also a rich source of GLA and in our range we offer a pure Starflower oil with 22% GLA and a 12% GLA Evening Primrose Oil which is fortified with starflower oil.

Typically per capsule:
Evening Primrose Oil:	1000mg	providing Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA):	90mg
Energy, protein and carbohydrate content neglible.

Evening Primrose Oil, Capsule Shell (Gelatin, Glycerin), Vitamin E (as dl-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate).

Take 1 capsule daily with a meal. Do not exceed recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not be a substitute for a varied diet.

This product is free from wheat, gluten, yeast, dairy, soya, nuts and shellfish. If you suffer from epilepsy, consult your doctor before taking this product.

This product is suitable for all adults.

We do value our vegetarian customers and try to make as many supplements as possible suitable for vegetarians. However there are a few exceptions and Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg is one of these. In these cases we use bovine (beef) gelatin for the capsule shell.

I can reassure you that when it is necessary to use gelatin, it is of the highest standard available and poses no risks to health. We use only Bovine gelatin of non-UK origin for which a certificate of suitability of the monograph of the European Pharmacopoeia is provided. We also make every effort to ensure products are clearly marked and all the products which are suitable for vegetarians are marked with a V symbol in our catalogue. Why do you use this product Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg ? I brought this product after having horribly pain periods after I had my first baby. Within 3 weeks of taking this all my symptoms literally disappeared and I had the most pain free (as well as crap and headache free) period I have ever had. My skin looks brilliant as well. I can't recommend this product enough to woman. I have brought some for my sisters to all try. I am truly impressed. Thank you Nature's best.
