Chewable Calcium 400mg
Tasty lemon flavour with Vitamin D
These tasty lemon flavoured tablets are an easy way to take calcium providing a full 400mg of calcium per tablet together with 1 gram of FOS (Fructo-oligosaccharides), a special type of sweet soluble fibre. Most manufacturers use sugar in their chewable formulas, but we've added FOS to enhance the pleasant sweet taste. FOS is a natural material extracted from chicory roots that does not cause tooth decay. It is known to encourage our own friendly bacteria in the bowel and early studies indicate that this may help to improve our absorption of calcium from the gut. Recent research has highlighted the importance of vitamin D and two tablets provides 5µg of vitamin D, 100% of the RDA.
This is a great product for children who need extra calcium but hate taking tablets or indeed anyone who finds swallowing tablets difficult.
Many people’s diets provide insufficient levels of calcium and teenagers in particular fail to consume adequate calcium from diet alone and a quarter of the UK’s 4 year olds have intakes below the RNI. Calcium intakes for girls and women are critical because achieving optimum bone density by the age of 30 has been shown to help keep bones strong in old age.

Calcium is a necessary mineral and as I've gone through the menopause I take it to aid against osteoporosis. Easy and pleasant to take, I find this brand the best!

I use this product because I don't think I get enough of it in my every day diet. It is a pleasant way to take extra calcium as I like the taste. My nails have ridges in them and I am hoping that with the additional calcium they will get better.

Why do you use this product Chewable Calcium 400mg ? I have taken this product for many years in an attempt to fend off osteoporosis as my mother and elder sister both have it. I choose chewable as I find that easier to take than swallowing pills.

Why do you use this product Chewable Calcium 400mg ? I have taken Calcium suppliments for some years as my mother had Osteoporosis and thought i should take every precaution to protect my bones, particually though menopause and into old age,as i did'nt want to suffer as my mother had in later life.
