The Company – History, Quality and Longevity
Established in Tunbridge Wells in 1981 Nature’s Best Health Products was one of the UK’s first suppliers of high quality nutritional supplements direct to the public. We’ve grown a lot since then and have moved once or twice because of that, but we remain based in Tunbridge Wells. We now handle hundreds of thousands of orders every year and every customer is assured of a friendly welcome and that their purchase will be despatched promptly and reliably.
Our Products – Made in the UK
At Nature’s Best we choose to have our supplements made in the UK. We could buy them much cheaper ‘ready made’ overseas, however, we know it would be extremely difficult to maintain the quality standards we demand if we were to do so. Many of the ingredients used in our products are expensive, and risk being counterfeited, and it requires sophisticated analysis to confirm their identity, potency and purity. It is a sad fact that the sub-standard raw materials we reject do end up being used by companies that are content to cut corners in order to cut their costs.
GMP Standards – it’s not the full story
We were one of the first companies to insist on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, and all of our tablets and capsules are made in UK factories working to pharmaceutical standards.
We note that many mail order companies now quote GMP, unfortunately this is no guarantee that products are accurately labelled, that they contain the ingredients listed or are honestly described. In fact it could simply mean that imported tablets and capsules have been packed into pots in a UK GMP facility, not necessarily what one might have thought it meant.
